The New Orleans Redevelopment Authority has proposed to demolish this lovely shotgun house in Holy Cross, named Best Old House Neighborhoods in 2011. But YOU can help save this endangered species by purchasing the house from NORA and renovating this gem!
This great single-family house, located at 414 Tupelo St., has the distinction of being 1 of only 3 in Holy Cross where the front elevation is offset from the property line, meaning that the front facade is not parallel to the street. The proposed demolition will be considered by the Historic District Landmarks Commission on Thursday, July 14, 2011.
UPDATE: HDLC voted unanimously to deny the demolition request for this house.
