“Zombie Demolitions”: Resurrected FEMA Funded Demolitions in Zip 70125

FEMA funded the demolition of 1600 properties between 2007 and 2009, and the program has recently been resurrected with a list of 900 properties left over from the original list that was compiled in 2006. An assortment of the properties are reviewed at the bi-weekly NCDC and HDLC meetings, who approve or deny the demolition; if approved, the demolition is paid for with FEMA funds.
