Historic Treme Creole Cottage to be Restored

Recently architectural historian Roulhac Toledano, author of the multi-volume New Orleans Architecture series, saved the Rabi Cottage at 1508 N Roman from the wrecking ball. Toledano once wrote about the house in her detailed guide to architectural styles of New Orleans. The two bay Creole cottage has stood at the outskirts of the Esplanade Ridge/Treme neighborhood since 1842, and faced the threat of demolition twice in recent years.
